How did to dog experience it?

The book trailer I haven’t bought The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe yet but it’s high on my wishlist. I’ve read several reviews on the book and most of them are very positive. The books seems to be really funny. What else could it be considering it’s written from the viewing point of a dog?
Since I haven’t read it myself, I give you a link to Tara Hanks’ blog. She can tell you more about the book! Click for Tara’s review.

If you decide to buy the book, I would appreciate it greatly if you order it from my website which is affiliated with Amazon.com. You can find the link at the bottom of this article. Thanks in advance!

Book review: A life in pictures, by Anne Verlhac

Personally, I love picture books the best. Especially when they’re filled with pictures of Marilyn Monroe. They give me a speak peak into her turbulent life and make me wonder how her life must have been. I can stare at pictures for hours.

When I first heard of this book, I was kinda afraid it was going to be just another one of those books which shows Marilyn’s most known pictures. But how wrong was I? This book is packed with lovely pictures of different photographers, varieing from Sam Shaw to Eve Arnold to Bert Stern.
As I’ve seen many, many pictures of Marilyn, most of them are not rare to me, but there are quite a few images I had never seen before, which always excites me.
The pictures that are chosen for this book, shows a more intimate, private Marilyn, who will touch your heart with her vulnerability. It reminds me why so many still think of her and honour her memory: because of her humanity and because she is worth it.

As a graphic designer, I must say that the design of the book is very well done. The layout is clean and the use of typography is very nice. The main focus is on the pictures, which fill most of the pages and that’s the way it always should be in picture books.

So, if you’re looking for a picturebook with high quality, more unknown pictures of Marilyn Monroe, this is the book for you!
