I was lucky enough to get my hands on the new release documentary ‘Marilyn, Dernières Séances’. It’s been released on August 5 2009, exactly 27 years after Marilyn’s death.
It’s directed by Patrick Jeudy and this is not the first time the Frenchman directed a documentary about Marilyn Monroe. In 2002 he released ‘Marilyn malgré elle’ also known as ‘Marilyn vs Marilyn’. As I loved this last documentary, I was very curious about this new one. ‘Marilyn malgré elle’ contained lots of beautiful footage of Marilyn and I figured ‘Marilyn, Dernières Séances’ would have no less. And I was right!
‘Marilyn, Dernières Séances’ is packed with footage that I have never seen before and can be considered pretty rare.

Although my French is pretty rusty (considering I have studied it for 6 years), I still think this is a great value, even if you don’t understand a word of French. It’s beautiful for its footage!
